Supreme Court says bump stocks are legal.

Post by N4KVE »

Looks like the Fed’s say they’re legal again. But they’re still illegal in Florida. GARY.

Yeah, not a 2A case as taken by the court, just an abuse of ATF rulemaking. Congress could probably redefine "machine gun" to cover bump stocks and it would, probably, withstand court challenges. And as it is not a 2A ruling, Florida's idiotic law remains valid for now--it would have to be attacked on state grounds (such as the state constitution--good luck).

On the bright side, the ATF rulemaking abuse aspect is a good omen for the pistol brace cases--same arbitrary BS, reversing a prior rule.

Yup the "Parkland Bill" was a complete knee jerk cluster phuch. 150+ pages of goop cobbled together by politicians with one though in mind. Red meat for the masses who didn't read any thing past the head lines.
The portion everyone who owns a gun should have a big problem with is the "red flag" portion. There is zero and I mean nil nada none ramifications for false accusations. As well as total animosity for the false accuser. Then every penny paid to restore yourself to whole from a false accusation is lost forever with no hope of ever finding justice from anyone even when you prove your innocence.
The accuser, the assistant district attorney, the rubber stamping judge, the jackboots no one is held accountable. You wont even get a sorry. All you'll get is a ten thousand or more dollar bill from a system and some of your property back, maybe, some day. Then forget about anything you don't have bonafide proof you owned before the Gestapo stole it. A war trophy grandpa brought bac, gone for good. A trapdoor Springfield pops picked up decades ago, that's in their chief collection now. That non serialized 22 passed down through generations, milled in two and dropped in the ocean. Ammo, oopsie that was misplaced.
If we had politicians that had real grit they would demand a repeal of the whole piece of garbage this bill is. Then again politicians with courage are few and far between even if they do get into the field with delusions of Constitutional fairness, they are soon taken aside and given the Mister Beal speech. Then it either fall in line to the program, are branded a kook or render moot by all the other neos from both parties.
