Best Ft Pierce to Bonita Springs route?

Bugging out on Saturday, driving a car...what is best way to get there, safest and so on? Daytime drive, new car, wife two cats...Which two lane roads to stay off? OR, should I go down 95 to 595 to Alligator alley? This one is longer. Thanks all. BE safe.

i would take 70 to arcadia, then 17 to i75

It's rural 2 lane roads. But they have little traffic besides truckers during a normal day.
