Lots of LE agencies dumping 40 S&W.

Pistols of all descriptions.

Thank you, DeputyDave, for your insightful comments. Does Glock make a 10mm barrel for the G22?
Remarkable that no one mentioned the 10mm/.40 S&W debate.

10mm wouldn't fit in the magazines of the smaller(9.40/357) framed Glocks

40 Smith & Wesson is a 10 mm bullet with a shorter case, so it has a shorter overall length than 10 mm.

You couldn't fit a 10 mm round into a Glock 22 magazine.

Can a G20 be converted to .40 or 9mm with a barrel swap and modified mags? Just wondering. The modular system works so well on AR’s, wondering if there is already COTS mod kits for the G20.

I've seen some G20 40S&W barrels. I don't remember how the magazine was done, if they just used the 10mm mag and have the bullets feed really far. I wasn't too interested in owing a G20.

I don't think I've ever seen it in 9mm. Would probably have extractor/ejector issues though.

A lot of guys with G20's just shoot .40 right out of the existing 10mm barrel and load up in the 10's mag's with little to no issues at all.

I should have known that would work. I’m not a Glock rocker, but duh...Image

My buddy said Melbourne PD switched from 45 GAP to 9mm. 9mm is the round now because the FBI has swapped to it.

From a big picture perspective, a Glock 22 is much better than a Glock 17 as an example. Why? Well with a G17 I can shoot 9mm....and that's it. With a G22 I can shoot .40, .357sig or 9mm with the simply change of a barrel. I like options like that!
I've never tried .357, but I've shot .40 out of a G17 frame without any issue. Still ejects just fine.

For those in the market, $250 for a SW MP with night sights (dim?) is cheaaaaaaap. https://www.centerfiresystems.com/p-636 ... -case.aspx
