All good here in Sarasota. Lots of debris but minimal damage. Folks just south of us got slammed. Haven't heard from friends in Boca Grande, Rotonda, Englewood and Venice yet.

You're reading the wrong section of the law. XLVI 870 refers to emergencies declared due to riots or insurrections. XVII 252 is the Florida Emergency Management Act. It says that the Governor MAY suspend firearm and ammunition sales in an Executive Order declaring a state of emergency, but it's not ...

Concealed weapons are not allowed inside the passenger terminal AND the sterile area of any airport in Florida. The only way for this guy to have avoided trouble would have been for him to declare it in a checked bag.

The handgun was in his backpack (on or about his person), not in a piece of wheeled/rolling luggage. Everything I read says that you may not carry a handgun in a backpack or purse in Florida unless you have a CWP.
