How's that saying go? "You can take the Mouse out of the Kingdom, but you can't take the Kingdom out of the mouse"

Re: Any other 1911 addicts here?

Does anyone know anything about the ATI or Armscor/RIA GI model 1911s? I want to get a cheap GI model for my 70 year old father to plink with (rather, he likes the GI model cause his father carried one) and I can't find much information on these besides that they won't explode in your hand. I don't...

Re: How Effective is .22 For Home Defense

A close relative was in 10th SFG. He said the real bad guys use .22 as their weapon of choice, but these guys have exceptional shot placement skills. Grandma & grandpa should get a 28 gauge shotgun.

Re: Lots of LE agencies dumping 40 S&W.

I've always felt that the .40 was the "near-perfect" round. It's got great muzzle velocity of a 9mm (1,150 fps) and the muzzle energy of a .45 ACP (485 ft/lbs). I particularly like the 165gr weight.

Re: Up Shit's Creek

I'd say no US boots on the ground. We can hit them with sanctions and embargos and any other economical weapons but no GI Joes on the Venezuelan ground. History tells us they will initially be seen as liberators but I guarantee you within weeks we'll have to spend our tax money to rebuild their cou...

Re: Conceal Carry In Florida Summer

I carry a CZ-75B .40 IWB. I’ll wear a tee shirt tucked in and something like a Columbia Sportswear fishing shirt untucked. I’ve recently begun carrying the smaller CZ-2075 RAMI .40 polymer. Much easier to conceal.

Re: What is Garand ammo going for today?

Never owned an M1, but can’t it just shoot 30-06 ammo? Is there something different about “Garand 30-06” ammo? The pressure curve for 'modern'/hunting 30-06 ammo is higher/peaks faster and causes the action to cycle more rapidly and violently than necessary- or designed for- leading to bent o...

Re: Schumer

While Schumer is the poster child for liberal democrats, the author Cooper was a lunatic who believed aliens were in cohorts with the gov't and trying to take over. He evaded arrest for tax evasion for years and when deputies tried to arrest him for assault, he shot one of them in the head. A real ...
