Yeah, I was a little concerned about whacking it with a live round in it. I definitely pussied out on it.

Re: Bersa BP9CC
Carry it with one in the chamber and use the decocker. Now as DA you've got about a14 lb pull.

Re: Bersa 380 Thunder Plus bad jam: Need gunsmith SWFL
UPDATE: well, in under 2 minutes Bob at Shoot Straight fixed it. Don't know exactly how he did it (he took it behind the curtain and closed the door), but he got the bad round out, cleaned it up, inspected it, then shot one magazine to make sure all was well. Very good guy, fixed it while I waited, ...

Re: Bersa Thunder combat .380
My .380 Thunder Plus is quite comfortable. I carry it IWB as a cross-draw and it is really invisible (note: I also will carry a full-frame CZ-75B .40 IWB as well as a 3" 1911 IWB, so the Bersa is much smaller than those).

Re: Bersa BP9CC
3.5 lbs is very light - if you're carrying it in Condition One. However, (at least in the case of my Bersa 380 Thunder Plus) because it is DA/SA I carry it with the hammer down in a DA configuration, so the DA trigger is considerably heavier than 3.5 lbs.

Re: Bersa 380 Thunder Plus bad jam: Need gunsmith SWFL
Just spoke with Bob over at Shoot Straight in Ft. Lauderdale. He said bring the gun over and he'll work on it while I wait so I won't have to make two trips.

Re: Bersa 380 Thunder Plus bad jam: Need gunsmith SWFL
Spoke with a guy who's in the business. He's basically suggesting what you're suggesting - but going the other way. He had the exact same issue with the same gun. He used a rubber mallet, pointed the gun towards the ground and struck the back of the slide. The decocker blocked the pin from engaging...

Re: Bersa 380 Thunder Plus bad jam: Need gunsmith SWFL
Rent, thanks for the idea. OK, update. It's a live round that did not appear make it into the chamber. Using a flashlight and a mirror, I was able to look down the barrel and confirm that there is a copper-tipped bullet. I inserted a cleaning rod into the barrel and measured the distance from the en...
