Re: Any Mechanics Who Have Worked on CRV's? AC Question

FWIW my piece of shit CRV has a (Actuator?) little module for that, I think. It could be wiring/fuse maybe? Mines an old 1st gen, ripped apart for a timing belt job I don't have the tools to finish  When you try to switch vent locations via the dash, do you hear anything "trying" to c...

Re: Florida AK Shops

Not bad price for labor at all.

It could be quick and painless, or it could involve soaking in Kroil for three days, and need every ounce of ass the press has to give to get them off (cough, Chinese AK's, cough).

Re: Official AK Picture Thread

That's niiiice. How many unfinished parts kits do you even have? Thanks. For kits, not much really. I have enough parts and a receiver to put one more together here on hand, thats about it. With the price of AK kits/parts lately I've been starting to get into other projects. I have some "moder...

Re: Official AK Picture Thread

From back in the day, finally finished up. An old "Bocefus" $79 matching #'s original barreled Romanian G kit, on a NDS-3 with a Polish side folding stock and bakelite handgaurds and a healthy coat of Rustoleum AE.

Re: Florida AK Shops

Its a pretty straight-forward job. Not as easy as doing an AR, but not super hard either. Just need the proper tools, gauges etc. I've had some nasty Yugo barrels, bore looked like a sewer pipe (The Centerfire $9.99 M70 barrel lottery) that still held decent groups. Dunno. Not to derail this, but li...

Just curious, why is he looking to re-barrel it?

Re: Official AK Picture Thread

I know you know your shit but please be careful when handling bombs. Eh. I wouldn't go that far. I'm not a master builder by any means. I was able to kinda save the front stub when I demilled my MP5K kit, so I have what I think is a salvageable magazine well from that. Was always thinking about tri...

Re: Official AK Picture Thread

Thanks for the heads up Skoll. I have another one in Florida, a Romanian WASR 10 from CAI and it has never let me down. I may end up just selling this one as I see no need in having two AK's. I once thought having one AK would be cool. Then I got another so it wouldn't be lonely. Then they just sta...

Re: Family Reunion

Only M1 Carbine I ever had was a Plainfield. It was, looking back, probably one of the most fun multi-purpuse rifles I owned. I wouldn't hesitate to use it for SD/HD, it was a mild and pleasant plinking gun as well. I miss it. I downsized calibers and .30 ended up getting chopped. If I ever find mys...
