Re: What you invest in?

Tax free municipal bond funds. They are safe, but they only pay around 3.5 to 5 %, but you pay no taxes on them. But, even so, you are just keeping up with 6% inflation. Still, it is better than losing money with today's economic mess created by the Socialist Democrats. You can convert your 401k to ...

Re: Bank fail and Social Security

I wasn't calling out anyone specifically. You don't get shit at 62. I just looked at my numbers for what I've put in so far. 62- $1869 67- $2655 ("full retirement age" whatever that means) 70- $3292 My 5K/month neighbor retired early at 62. I think he's in his 70s. But I can't do that. Ca...

Re: Bank fail and Social Security

It is all about how you prepare for retirement. I was planning on waiting for number 70 before retirement, but I did retire at 69 due to becoming my wife's medical caretaker. My wife started taking Spousal Benefits when I hit 66. She was a housewife most of our marriage, with only about 25 quarters ...

Re: I am in need of breaking a computer password help.

The best way if you have the authority, it to take the computer to a computer shop, and have them do it for you.
That's why I have a little pocket notebook in my safe (yes the boys know the safe's combo), that has all my user names and pass words listed in it.

Re: Supreme Court says no to NY gun owners.

Basically the court said no, they will not take the case at this time.
Than really means, let it work it's way up through the lower courts, until it reaches us.
That is standard procedure.
Thus, it will just take time before New Yuck's law is declared unconstitutional.

Re: They're Back Maybe

Since we now have conflicting rulings from different Circuit Courts, next stop is the Supreme Court. Hopefully, the Supreme Court will rule on this quickly, likely hearing the case during it's Winter/Spring 2023 term, and issuing it's judgement in June of this year. The real issue here is not Bump S...

Well she did get her wish, she will not have to listen to the Star Spangled Banner for nine years.
Karma is a real bitch, and she did get what she wished for :>))
Not sorry for her one bit!

Re: Post-storm check-in

My son's area up in Port Orange (just south of Daytona Beach) flooded badly, due to the wind and storm surge pushing water into the Ponce de Leon Inlet, and backing water back up into the Halifax River. My son's house came with in a couple inches of being flooded, and neighbors all around him had 6 ...
