Re: Insurance companies are basically scum...
Where I grew up, the only way to sell a car was for the buyer, & seller to appear at the tag agency together. A notary was a lawyer, not just someone to witness a signature. It was a pain, but things like this could not happen. Also slip, & fall lawyers do not exist there, so “pain, & ...

Re: Insurance companies are basically scum...
6 years ago, I sold a 1970 Z-28 Camaro to someone locally. I had owned the car since 1988. I signed the Florida title, & we both got bills of sale. The car had been sitting in my warehouse for years, but had never had Florida tags. Whenever I renew the tags for my daily driver, the site always a...

Re: Remember - as of Monday, Oct 1, bump stocks are contriband
There is already a long line at the dumpster across the street of people tossing their bump stocks. I figure a 20 minute wait. Funny, when these first came out, I was working at the WPB SS store. I asked the manager at the time if he wanted to carry these items in stock, as they seemed to work quite...

Re: Legality of shipping a long gun in state
Do you really think a package going from WPB to FT. Myers will go through another state? Send it FedEx Express and it will go through Memphis. Actually I asked our FEDEX driver, & he said no. It will stay in state. But WPB to Atlanta, or NYC, or any city in any other state will go through Memph...

Re: Legality of shipping a long gun in state
Do you really think a package going from WPB to FT. Myers will go through another state? What if I travel from WPB to Atlanta with a checked handgun, but due to bad weather the plane lands in NYC. OOPS. GARY.

Re: Legality of shipping a long gun in state
Instate, anything can go door, to door. Out of state, you must send to his FFL for him to pick up there. GARY.dammitgriff wrote: ↑Mon Sep 17, 2018 12:31 pm To summarize, and correct me if I’m wrong
• Handguns/pistols and rifles/shotguns under 16†barrel length must use FFL in-state and out-of-state.
Is that correct?

Re: Legality of shipping a long gun in state
When you fill out the shipping form (online or in person), there is a disclaimer that you sign either asking for the contents of the package (if it is insured over $99) or "is there anything in the package...batteries...prohibited items...blah, blah, blah). That is where they'll get you if the...

Re: Legality of shipping a long gun in state
That’s not always possible. Where I used to work, the shipper piled up the boxes for the UPS driver to pick up. He then went out for 4 hours to make deliveries. The UPS driver would walk in, take the boxes, sign the book, & leave. There was nobody in the building to talk to. The closest employ...

There's never a problem on the receiver's side, as the receiver does not go to the post office. When there is a problem, it's on the sender's side. GARY

Re: Legality of shipping a long gun in state
They don’t ever ask is this a firearm. They do ask are there lithium batteries in the package. So you will not be lying. GARY.
