Moab is great, but let me ask--are you driving around Utah generally, or just staying in the Moab area?

Starting in SLC, traveling to Moab, then SLC, then back home in one week. Hoping to visit the Browning Museum and possibly the state capital and/or Norman Temple. Any "must see' locations?

Well, if you are coming from SLC, you'll probably not take my recommended route into Moab from the north--that would be Utah 128 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utah_State_Route_128). It would involve some backtracking from the shortest route. But driving along the twists and turns of the Colorado River is worth it to me.

I've always left Moab (4-5 times) towards the SW, because there are some AWESOME drives that way. If that is possible, take US 191 down to Blanding; then Utah 95 to Utah 24 to Utah 12 (South).
