A long time ago someone advised me to never put in writing or on film anything I wouldn't want my grandmother to read or see. Somehow that seems to still be good advice. Yes, we are all adults here. Yes, we all know the bad words. Yes, most of us have used them from time to time. But I tend to favor the old Teddy Roosevelt idea of speak softly but carry a big stick. This is mostly a fun forum and thank goodness we do not all share similar thoughts. If you have a point to make or wish to express a strong opinion by all means have at it. But convince me. Show me the error of my ways. IMHO profanity does not really convey gravitas.

But that's only my two cents in a thread that is many pages long.

A simple language filter,it was on this site before.User set it in their controls so the foul language would be s**t or f*** or something of that nature instead of actual letters.It worked fine for the handful of people who disliked foul language .Ask Legio about setting it up,but wanting to change everything because a handful don't like it is stupid.
