I saw only one in the logs. The reason given by the moderator who deleted it was "RULES 2 GUNS 1 AD". The rules are very specific about this. Only one item per topic. Only pre-approved topics can contain multiple items and it only happens when full inventory are sold.

1 was marked sold---deleted

Another 2 guns 1 add. ---- deleted

Another the condition was not listed properly ---deleted

Did not take in consideration his first post was a WTS post however.. others posts are WTS only also.

Examples of proper WTS posts are in the rule section and most importantly examples are the other WTS posts that are on the forum.

OK, thanks a bunch; I'll pass this along to him for future. Let me know when you get set up for donations again. I've been a member since 2008 and have supported it in the past. Great bunch of guys!

I'd like to suggest that SOLD posts are not so quickly culled. I recently responded to a WTS ad that has now disappeared. I don't know if it was deleted because the OP marked it as sold, or if there was a problem with the listing. I'm not sure what the rush is to delete the threads.

We do this to avoid the clutter. This is a forum script. Let me look into it.

What would be the reason to keep thousands of sold items? Do We really need to keep the rifle you sold a few years back with all the conversations related to it?

Price reference, research for what items have sold for. If there’s a storage cost associated, and threads need to be culled, I understand, but the instant delete is frustrating.

There is no cost for storing. We store text only, no images or video. So it isn’t this much of a problem. It is for me when I do external backups home, but that’s it. You should also know that some users ask us to remove them when it is sold too.

What would be for you an acceptable timeframe ?
