The Memo

Post by jjk308 » Fri Feb 02, 2018 4:04 pm

The Memo https://www.politico.com/story/2018/02/ ... ipt-385057

It verifies in detail what we already knew or suspected: The Steele Dossier was BS, not real dirt but disinformation paid for by the Clinton Campaign, used to initiate the entire Trump - Russia Collusion witch hunt, which has no basis in fact, regardless of FISA warrants or Special Counsel Mueller.

Absolutely NOTHING stemming from the rotten rationale of the FISA warrants could be used to prosecute Trump or any of his associates, EVEN IF THEY WERE GUILTY! The abysmal, grossly unprofessional handling of this matter is absolutely unforgivable. It's the reason that the only indictments have been, and it looks like will ever be, for stupid lying to the FBI on perfectly legal matters, and Manafort and Co.s money laundering, etc, which long predated his serving in the Trump campaign.

This grotesque lack of adherence to the most basic law enforcement and intelligence laws and procedures is the real scandal, not the absurd Dossier. The FBI and DOJ must discipline, fire or prosecute everyone responsible for it, regardless of rank or friendships.

Well, that's certainly the party line. If they are guilty, then they should be hanged by the neck until dead as it means they betrayed the USA to a foreign enemy. If guilty, tainted fruit is not going to save them, just like it wouldn't save a murderer from death row.

Better read up on the SCOTUS decisions on tainted warrants.

IMHO there's a good reason that Mueller hasn't had any "collusion" indictments even beyond a lack of evidence.

Are you seriously defending the betraying of the USA to Russia because of a tainted warrant? Next you'll be boat riding to Cuba to get the Gitmo islamic terrorists out of jail.

I don't really have a dog in this fight, but that memo verifies nothing. It is literally an opinion article written by one of Nunes' staffers and says exactly what they want it to say. After reading it, I'd say it barely qualifies as a coherent thought. What may or may not verify the allegations it contains are the underlying documents. Who wants to make book on any of those being released?

This whole thing is FUBAR. Both sides are engaging in a propaganda war with no hard evidence presented, yet both sides' acolytes jump on every rumor/allegation as fact in a clamoring effort to display their confirmation bias. I'm not sure when this country lost its objectivity, but it will be our downfall if it gets much worse. Everybody needs to calm the f/;k down and take a primer on what qualifies as evidence and fact.

If you'd bother to read it and the mass of supporting material instead of taking the Democratic evasions at face value you'd see that the memo is true. I suggest you do so, lay out a timeline, and apply Occam's Razor to the evidence.

The FBI and DOJ were grossly incompetent to let the Steele Dossier taint their FISA applications to spy on Carter Paige. That was done for no other reason than that he had a number of contacts with Russians while trying to establish himself as a "foreign affairs expert". The outcome of that exercise was NOTHING! The entire Special Counsel investigation is build on the scurrilous Dossier, which had been rejected by dozens of media outlets, and the bumbling and drunken attempts of Papadopoluous to be a big hero by getting Russian offered "dirt" on Hillary, despite Sen. Sessions and the Trump campaign refusing to support him.

It's gone way beyond any straight faced attempts at a cover up of a politicized and bumbling FBI andDOJ. It has apparently now has ended up with the competing Democratic memo being a political document. The body of it is nothing but a non-factual denunciation of the Republican committee chairman, plus a much larger collection of footnotes on classified intelligence practices and procedures that couldn't pass the declassification process. We will see exactly how stupid it is unless the Democrats completely rewrite it to get it through the security clearance problems.

The Memo

Big picture time, gentlemen:
Our government is corrupt and undeserving of our support. I’m talking about all three branches here. It cannot be rectified.
It is way past time we turned our backs on those psychopathic paranoid bastards in D.C. and delegitimize their existence.

All other means have failed, save violent secession as has already happened in this country upon our Declaration of Independence from England...and the War of Northern Agression/Southern Secession.
My prime directive is keeping my family safe, even if that means taking the common-sense approach of leaving the country when the socialist progressive left takes over.
As far as I know, our government will murder every person who stands against it and asserts individual freedom, all in the name of the law. Have you already forgotten what happened to the Bundys?
This country is fragmented to the point no meaningful resistance to the tyranny can hope to form. Our experiment in freedom is over, and no one wants to accept it.
