first off why 22 mag :ham'r

Henry makes them as do others

In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.

good enough reason for me, same reason why I wanted a PMR30. Also so I can use it to play cowboys and aliens!

I have a fiend with a Henry Golden Boy in .22 mag.
Nice shooter but tiny sights that are nearly useless for the over 50 crowd. I've always been of the opinion that scopes look kinda dopey on lever guns.

They have been discontinued but keep a lookout for the Marlin 922. It is the same as a Camp 9 but in .22 Mag. I have both but i like the 922 the most. I found mine on the used gun rack at Gander Mtn. Numrich's has mags & take out the spacer to get 7 rds in the 5 rd mags. Flawless operation & zero recoil + i love the Garand-style safety.... jim

I picked up a NOS Ruger model 96 22wmr lever 3 years ago. Haven't shot it yet. It uses the same mags as my Ruger 10-22 in 22wmr. I think it uses the same scope base, too.

Couldn't figure out how to upload an image from the GB auction for it, but here is the Ruger manual from their website. It's a discontinued gun, just like the 10-22 in 22wmr.

3 or 4 of these for auction right now on GB.

Hi,
American Guns in Edgewater has a pristine used Winchester 9422 Mag for sale.
Nice wood too.

Went out to TX last week to visit my daughter and grand-baby, and my son-in-law surprised me by whipping out a Henry lever 22-magnum! It was fun to shoot. I had given the boy a Marlin bolt 22-magnum, and he went on and got the lever himself.

Oh, and in rural TX, you just step out back and shoot at a safe area inyour yard, and the neighbors don't care. Actually, they do the same!

I just found a good used Winchester 9422m (model 94, lever action, 22wmr) in an estate sale. Can't wait to shoot it.
