I picked up from my C3FFL this afternoon my Sten gun after receipt of the approved Form 4. Details:

1. NFA item: machine gun
2. Form Type: paper Form 4
3. Transferee Type: Living Trust
4. Forms Mailed: 3/16/15
5. Checked cashed 3/24/15
6. Approved Date: 7/29/15
6. Received Date: 8/4/15

About four-and-a-half months start to finish. This is a month longer than processing for my last three Forms 4.

i'm currently at 2.5 months for my eForm 1 and still waiting. how are you able to tell who your reviewer is???

it's my first one, so maybe it'll take longer than normal.

submitted 5/26.

Is the finalization date the date they approve your forms?

also, do I have to call the ATF in order to find out who the reviewer is?

You are almost there. On monday i got approved a may 9th form 1 that i filed. You dont have to do anything. They will email you the day they approve it. No you dont have to call. Your stamp will say who the reviewer is. Right now they have contractors working 7 days a week trying catch up on the back log.

Disapproved. Do I have to call to find out why?

also, does this mean I have to pay another $200???

Call them and ask why it was disaproved. Yes you have to pay another 200 bucks for a new form. One thing if you resubmitt and send an email to Ted with the new control# and the old dissaproved one it will only take a few days to get it approved. The $200 bucks from the first form will take up to 3 months to be given back to you.

Too bad you didn't get one of the newbies that missed the mistake and approved it...I got one back approved that I didn't enter the city/state on... It was a mail in.

Bought a Thompson Machine suppressor, the ISIS-2 in 9mm.Going to use it on my Colt 9mm AR-SBR. Andy from KGB Armament in Pompano did the paper work for me.

Mailed my papers and trust via Priority mail, certified, return receipt on Jan. 29, 2016
Delivered and signed for on Jan. 31, 2016
Return receipt was lost so PO gave me the digital copy of NFA having signed for it, so they got it.
I will call for a status after about a month.
Hopefully, not much more than 5 or 6 months.

I received last Thursday, March 3, two approved Forms 4 for a Steyr Aug and a Mauser Schnellfeuer. I had mailed the two Forms 4 to the ATF in a single envelope, and they were returned to my C3FFL in a single envelope. Details:

1. NFA items: machine gun sear (Steyr); machine gun (Mauser)
2. Form Type: paper Form 4
3. Transferee Type: Living Trust
4. Forms Mailed to ATF: 10/21/15
5. Approved Date: 2/22/16
6. Received date: 3/3/16

Four months for approval (with the holidays in there) and another week and a half for handling/mail.

I know I know it does not do any good to do it. But I did it anyways. I called just to see what the status was one the other suppressors were that were summitted the exact same time as the 4 I just got a few weeks ago. The lady was really nice and very helpful and did not seem at all to mind helping me.

She looked them all up and they are pending. She told me they are still working on Junes form 4s I did not say anything but the 4 I just got were July 7th form 4s go figure. I'm grateful though to have gotten them
