Re: Battlerifle Pic Thread!
Nice Carbine! Here is my 1-44 Inland with a repro Para stock from Sarco [ The original stock on it from CMP was Italian Beech and really nasty ] + my Plainfield with a "blem" $39.95 aftermarket stock from Numrich's [ I don't mind it being two-tone! ] Both are good shooters.

Postal Meter with Marlin barrel. No lug. I think the stock was refinished because there's no Postal Meter cartouche on it. Bastards.
Anyway... it's a sweet shooter. Probably my favorite rifle.

Re: Battlerifle Pic Thread!
Finally bought the front end and adjustable gas plug so I can shoot it suppressed. Hopefully in a couple of week I will be taking it to the range.

Gunny this is where I got the idea from. I think it will sound great. I also got the same silencer.

Re: Battlerifle Pic Thread!
I'm surprised it's as muted as it is. I was sure it would be much louder as the ones I have seen and listened to years ago on an M14 took the "crack" out of it but not a whole lot of volume. The old ones were more effective on slower velocity rounds like .45s, the new technology is unreal.
This one is definitely BADD ASS !!!
How tough is the install ? Ball park price ? I wonder how it affects accuracy if at all ?

Re: Battlerifle Pic Thread!
I got it used on gunbroker for 1250
. Installation is as fast as you can unscrew the whole front end about 1 minute lol. The hard part is the 350 it costed me for the Muzzle Thread Adapter Kit, schuster adjustable gas port and new muzzle break. It is heavy for sure but I think it will be well worth it. Accuracy shouldnt be a problem at all with the silencer on it for the research that I have done. I have seen other videos on youtube and everyone has had the same positive result. I will put a small red dot on it but there is a rail the replaces the top one that goes way closer to you but its another 100 bucks. I will be shooting 147 grain ball since its all I got right now.

If you can try a 168 grn. HPBT, 41.5 grns. 4895 IMR , LC case, CCI primer.
That recipe was a starting point load, it works so well I never bothered to look any further.

Re: Battlerifle Pic Thread!

These two are waiting on me to adopt a M14/M1A
The carbine is a Quality Hardware and Machine Corporation 1943 build.
The M1 is a S.A.- Bluesky Armory refurb.
