"This plug-in is not supported"

Post by flcracker » Sun Oct 18, 2015 8:30 pm

All of a sudden, embedded YouTube videos now show up on my Android phone with a gray screen box and the message "This plug-in is not supported".

What happened?

Same here I thought it was my phone :-k
In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.

I found the solution. This is because Google Chrome for Android no longer supports Adobe flash, even though Chrome desktop does. You just have to use a different browser on your phone to see the videos.

Use Firefox or Dolphin browser, click on the video, then you'll be prompted to download the Adobe flash player app. You'll need to enable apps from unknown sources, then install the app. Once finished navigate back to the video and it will play.

Nobody will use Flash very soon. It is a crappy piece of software that is being banned by all the browsers, starting by Chrome.

Sorry, did not have time to look into it. I'll make time soon.
