Early Renewal of CCW?

Post by Tenzing_Norgay »

My CCW expires this year...October. With all the shenanigans going on at the Dept. of Agriculture, I thought it might be prudent to renew early.

I went to the online renewal page and the first requirement reads:

"Please have ready your "Renewal Notice for Concealed Weapon or Firearm License" that you received in the mail."

So...do you have to wait for the renewal notice before renewing?

To renew online yes. It gives you a special code to enter on the website.

Mine expires in February, but I got my renewal in October.
The renewal still has the February expiration date 2026.

I renewed 3 months early with the expiration date based on the original date as well.

I think the renewal window starts at 100 days before expiration. I don't know if it will still be that way by October '19

The renewal window starts at 150 days before expiration for all renewals. That's also when they send out the form that has the code for online renewal according to their web site.
