CBS SN channel has car stuff.

I've been tuning in lately to the CBS Sports Channel.
There's a lot of car shows and racing coverage there recently.
Formula One, even.
And some entertaining other stuff, too.

Any dirt track open wheel? Like sprint cars or midgets?

Football seems to be dominating the channel for awhile.
Last week they showed the Mexican Grand Prix and some other cars shows.
If your tv provider offers this channel, just check the schedule to find out if there's anything you like that day.

Sprints and MIdgets are wild.
Lots of speed and action on small tracks of mostly 1/3 to 1/2 miles.
A herd of those screaming around in a circle will make your blood pump.

When I was a kid, midgets ran indoors in the winter, using alcohol for fuel.
Hard on the eyes, but it was wild and crazy to watch a bunch of them on a tiny track.
The only time I ever went to a dirt track sprint car race, everyone was so covered with dirt and mud, I only went to paved track events afterward.
What a mess.
When a hard clump of dirt hit me in the face, I decided there was a limit to my enthusiasm for the sport.

T-Qs in the old Atlantic City Convention Hall (where the Miss America was held) got a bit tough on the sinuses.

What is T-Q racing?
Anything like the Quarter Midgets youngsters start out with?
When we lived in the midwest, our local circle track held the state QM championships most years.
Those kids put on a great show, too.

Three Quarter midget
When they were running indoors the ACTQM used Bearcat engines. A company bought tooling from Crosley to build that SOHC 30CID engine. Others used 500cc motorcycle engines.
These racers are where Mario got his start.
