4.72? What's that, 1/8 mile. Let's see these cars on a real 1/4 mile track. Don't these cars race the 1/4 mile on their TV show? GARY

Not much exciting about putting it in high gear and waiting another couple seconds

1000 feet only for Top Fuel, & Funny Car. Everything else is still 1/4 mile. And no, since all the professional racing organizations race 1/4 mile [except Top Fuel, & Funny Car] it would be nice to see what these cars do in the 1/4 as a comparison. Again, these cars race the 1/4 on their TV show. I once went to a 1/8 mile track in Bradenton & most of the drivers held their foot to the floor for the full 1/4 mile, even though the announcer kept screaming "it's a 1/8 mile track". The drivers wanted to race each other the full 1/4 mile. Many races are won in the last 100 feet, which is why 1/8 mile sucks. I have never seen any professional organization race 1/8 mile. GARY

Bradenton is 1/4 mile.
That wheelie was awesome.
Tarpon... everything else is just bait.

Well yes, the track was for 1/4 mile races, but at that particular event 20 years ago, the lights were set at 1/8 mile. The drivers didn't care. GARY
