Jeff Gordon out of retirement

Post by czharry » Fri Jul 22, 2016 3:07 pm

Jeff Gordon has come out of retirement to drive Dale Earnhardt Jr's Number 88, while Dale, Jr is recuperating from concussion-like symptoms.
Gordon will drive the #88 in the Brickyard 400.
No, I missed any news about Dale's concussion, but it's been ongoing for the last couple of weeks.

Sounds like the plot to that movie " Days of Thunder "
In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.

NASCAR is nothing more than professional wrestling with cars.

Same story lines.

Same rivalries.

Same good guys and bad guys trading places every few weeks.

Same gaudy costumes.

Same bunch of suits in a conference room choreographing the whole thing. =:wvr
Late mergers should be shot in the face, then set on fire and hung from an overpass. /:f

he didn't do so good at yesterday's Brickyard 400, he came in
13th place.
I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something.

He started in 20th-ish. He said himself before the race and afterwards, he hasn't driven in any competition in 245 days. He said he's lost that "edge", but will keep practicing.
