My understanding is this will not be open to the public.

Sorry but that's not a very good ad. From the video I would have thought it was the museum of air, showcasing all different types of air molecules in a large enclosure.

From the YouTube page it looks like it's called the American Muscle Car Museum, which certainly sounds interesting but there's no "hook" to get you to go.

BTW, what's that about it not being open to the public? Where'd you read that? That would make absolutely no sense for a museum.

Or you can go see Muscle Car City in Punta Gorda on the West Coast of Florida, south of Sarasota and north of Ft Myers:

First page on their website: It will not be open to the public on a daily basis when completed in the fall of 2016. It will be open to host numerous non-profit activities, fund raisers, and car shows through out the year.

FAQs:

Q: Is the museum open to the public?
A: No, but there are charitable events that will give the public the opportunity to see the cars. Admission will most often require a donation to a select charity.

Here's the stuff before that.
* 501(c)3 museum.
* Private museum.

So I guess it's primarily for a tax write-off for a very rich person. Does that mean taxpayer dollars will be paying for everything, that we are not allowed to see?

Located in Melbourne, Florida, this new 123,000 square foot complex will house the collection of Mark Pieloch. Mark has been a car enthusiast for over 40 years and has amassed nearly 250 cars that range from classic 1960’s and 1970’s American muscle cars, to modern “sophisticated” muscle like a 2016 Shelby GT350!

The 501(c)3 museum, located on 42 acres in Melbourne, will include 90,000 sqft of vehicle display area, an 18,000 sqft showroom, and an adjacent 15,000 sqft maintenance and restoration facility for the collection.

The private museum is located at 3500 Sarno Road.

It will not be open to the public on a daily basis when completed in the fall of 2016. It will be open to host numerous non-profit activities, fund raisers, and car shows through out the year.

ETA: Here's some more.

The American Muscle Car Museum in Melbourne will open Oct. 22 during a breast cancer fundraising benefit, giving Space Coast residents a peek at one of the world's most impressive collections of rare performance vehicles.

The privately owned facility on Sarno Road will host Rev Up for a Cure to benefit the American Cancer Society. Keynote speaker is Olympic swimmer Amanda Beard, who won gold medals for the U.S. in the 1996 Atlanta and 2004 Athens games.

A total of 500 tickets are available for the muscle car museum's Oct. 22 event,.....
......
Tickets cost $150 for general admission, $250 for VIP and $2,500 for a corporate table. All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society. For information, visit americanmusclecarmuseum.com.

Where is their website? Do you have a link?

This sounds extremely fishy. Yeah, it might be a tax write off.

I've heard the guy is a tool. Thinks his stuff is too good for the common folk. Doesn't want the real gearheads around. His cars are from auctions and just bought to impress. Place isn't open to the public??? No thanks pal. I wont pay 150 bucks to see your stuff. Muscle Car City in Punta Gorda is way cooler and Rick T. is a real car guy. Not a wanna be

Plus the Punta Gorda museum hosts car shows in the parking lot, too.
Much more better.
And it has a genuine old fashioned cafe, along with lots of model cars and other goodies to buy.
