CCI Velocity king anyone tried them ?

CCI’s Velocitor .22 long rifle ammunition has been extremely popular since its inception, but CCI may have outdone themselves with their new Copper-22. With Velocitor pushing an impressive 1,435 Feet/Second (FPS), the new Copper-22 moves at a startling 1,850 FPS! That is a velocity you never hear discussed in the same sentence as .22 long rifle ammunition.

Their secret could be in the light bullet and its construction. CCI had this to say about their latest rimfire offering:

I haven't seen any of the Copper 22 as yet. Stingers at 1600+ fps are scarce as hell and good bit more expensive than standards or even Mini-Mags. I bet the retail OTD price of over $11 a box for the Coppers will put a crimp in sales. For shots up to about 60 yards or so I get excellent accuracy with the 40 grain standards and can't see a need for anything else. If I need to reach out and touch something I will just use one of my 223/5.56 rifles.

If you get any let us know how they work out for you.

I was under the impression solid brass bullets were illegal when loaded in handguns.(Fear of vest penetration)
Maybe rimfires are not considered armor piercing.
Anyone have an input?

I will stick with 40 grain Velocitor at 1,435 Feet/Second (FPS).
