Looking for opinions...
I bought myself a Ruger 10/22 takedown for Christmas. I really like the gun. I have added a short inexpensive scope and replaced the iron sights so I can see them over the dovetail scope mount. I've been toying with the idea of replacing the stock trigger with a Volquartzen or similar after market trigger assembly as the OEM is sort of heavy. It shoots about 2MOA off a rest, but I'm wondering how much better it will be with a 2lb trigger (i.e. how much of the 2 MOA is me.) With the drop in triggers running in excess of $200 is it worth the expense?
Did I mention I REALLY like the gun?
Thanks,
Allan

You can do a trigger job on it and make it better. It is pretty simple. If you're going to put $200 into a trigger, get a Kidd.
I can explain it to you, but I cannot understand it for you.

Id do a DIY first. There fun little guns. Great way to waste an afternoon.

I have a single stage because it feels like the trigger on my 308
My nephew has a 2 stage (on a Kidd rifle) that is just downright cheating.

I use a Ruger 10/22 to shoot the SWFSA CMP matches. I used the Valquartzen hammer kit: https://www.volquartsen.com/products/20 ... -22-magnum It gives you a significantly lower/better trigger pull for way less than $200. (I actually had to use a heavier trigger spring to increase the trigger pull to be greater than 3lbs.) Also add the bolt release while you're at it: https://www.volquartsen.com/products/15 ... lt-release
The 10/22 is way more accurate than people give them credit for. My best score to date is a 589 out of 600. I've done it 3 times over the years.
