I think they used them in "Spaceballs" also.
I had one but a$$hole Blumenthal in CT had a gun buy back and they gave me way too much money, they thought it an assault weapon.

I am wanting to buy a nice rimfire rifle. If you could only afford one would you buy a lever or bolt action?

I would buy a bolt gun unless you're looking for the Nostalgia of a lever action.
And the Ruger 10/22 is very versatile

If I was limited to just one 22 rimfire rifle it would be my Ruger 10/22.

I picked up a cheap Henry 22 lever rifle a while back for my son and it's currently my favorite "fun" gun.

Favorite is the 10/22 DSP. My dad gave me the rifle for Christmas in 1960 something give or take a few. I still have it and it shoots just as good today as it did that Christmas morning.

Thanks Dad! I miss you.

Browning A-Bolt, 22 magnum, discontinued now but a sweet looking and sweet shooting gun

With a 3x9 Vortex on it, eyeball shots at 75 yards all day long.

My favorites were the ones I let get away.
Like the Browning rimfire lever rifle.
Or the Winchester gallery pump with adjustable rear sight.
If it were to be a new one, for accuracy it would be a Savage bolt action.
For general practice, it would be either a Ruger 10-22 or a Marlin 60.
Better yet, why not start a rimfire collection.
