Issues - YES. Indiscriminately logging the coming and going of the common citizens? Chitwood must be a liberal from NJ to allow this .

I live in volusia. Chitwood is pretty controversial but seems like a good guy. If he dealt with the slums and dumps in daytona then hes gotta be ok.

Im not too comforted by the cameras, but if it can make the scumbags feel less confident to do shady stuff then i guess i dont mind it. There is way too many trashy people doing illegal stuff here. If this catches them or makes them F off, good.

It all depends on the context. What you describe may seem ok. Certainly all sorts of things sound good on paper. Suppose next election cycle we get a crook as pres. and the demoRATS take over the Congress, cameras tied into a computer system to follow you around will be another matter entirely.

Don't want to re-write anything. But I think that in the eyes of the law, ones vehicle is often a legal extension of your home.

Yeah and that means they can watch you getting a blow job in your car or laid even. Yet it's illegal to put dark enough glass tint to keep them from watching you. Forget it if you have a convertible now.

I remember that in some countries, the gummit requires cameras and microphones installed in the rooms of each loyal comrade's house.
Glad that can't happen here.........

Don't forget your smart phone.

Playing devils advocate, if your car is on a public street where any else driving by can see it then you can't expect privacy regarding anything they can see which would be the same things the cameras can see. Any judge or legal scholar would agree with such an assessment. Thus there is not a constitutional breach here. That said I don't like this policy and just like liberals love to say the founders never knew we would have "machine guns" or "assault weapons" they also never knew we would have video cameras, phones, computers, or the internet.
