Armscor M206

Post by handlebar » Sat Aug 22, 2015 10:39 am

Could not pass this up, $215 including transfer. The gun was $190 plus $25 transfer at Lee's Tactical Firearms in Margate. It is a Rock Island Armory 38spl 2" barrel. Patterned after the Colt DS, but not exactly. I will shoot it this weekend and report back. It is fairly heavy (25 oz.), all steel. Lock up is very tight with only a hint of wiggle (just like my S&W). Finish is parkerized, but for the price you are not getting a royal blue. Came with wood concealment grips and the rubber grips you see on it in the photo. Trigger in SA is about 4.5#. DA is smooth and quite acceptable. It will be my car gun or when it proves reliable, a sometimes carry gun. I also have a RIA full size 1911 in 9mm that has been completely reliable and accurate, see photo.

thats pretty sweet .....some actually prefer the parkerized finish , was this a GB find or what, you said plus transfer

or were these for sale at one of the surplus places ??
In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.

it was on sale for $190 delivered from Centerfire Systems. $25 transfer = $215 OTD, they are currently out of stock, but they are taking backorders.

shot 50 rounds on Sunday. recoil was light (even with +P's) because of the 25 oz weight. accuracy was dead on at 7 to 10 yards. This seems to be a cheap keeper.

How are the sights on it? I am right handed but left hand dominant. How much did you pay for the RIA 9mm?

the M206 shoots point of aim (POA) and the 9mm was $379 at Buds Gun Shop-on line, but that was a few years ago.
