S&W 625 new favorite

Post by GMG1 » Sat Sep 27, 2014 4:05 pm

I have a couple of old S&W 29's that I thought would be my all time favorite revolvers. I was wrong. I love my 29's and will not part with them, but I got a Miculek designed, Performance Center built 625 in .45 ACP. I put it in my will to be buried with it. I took a picture of the six rounds in the X-ring so as not to be called a liar. If you can find one, buy it.

You have excellent taste Sir !!! :ber
The S&W 625 is one of my all time favorite revolvers.
My very first .45 acp chambered handgun was actually a 5" 625.
I am on my 4th one now and hope to not sell or trade this one.
A couple of weeks ago I took my time and using a fine grit sand paper I sanded off the "JM" from the grips.
And then refinished them with an oil based wood treatment.

How about posting a pic of your 625 here [smilie=pdt_xtremez_30.gif] .

During the last year I had to sell my 625 and my model 25 for folding money. It's a hard world.

I can put the picture on a cell or maybe to an e-mail. I still don't know how to get it on the web sight. If you want to, I can send it to you and you can figure out how to put it on the web sight.

hey jeepsnguns, that is a very nice looking set of grips on your 625. I have a set very much like those on one of my 29's.

That is one good looking revolver. And you seem to be able to shoot it very well with the proof of the target. One day I will own one! =D>

Just picked up this very nice 625 JM package yesterday. Can't wait to get it to the range!

You are going to love it. Mine is smooth as glass and accurate. I didn't know how bad I needed one until I got one. Jerry has won hundreds of championships with his. You will get attention at the range with it. Have fun and good shooting.

Finally made it out to the range and you couldn't have been more accurate. The 625 was ridiculously accurate and an unbelievable pleasure to shoot. 1 ragged hole at 10 yards and definitely got some attention on the line. I'm in love.... [smilie=cheers1.gif]

I love mine, I have found the moon clip tool to be really nice with mine.

I can't use the Miculek grips, they just don't fit my very large hands well.

It's a bladetech with a drop and offset. Not sure what model exactly as it came with the package I purchased.

Have you seen the BMT Mooner? A little expensive but awesome design.

YouTube it for demo.

Agreed on the JM grips. I'm really digging these Houge Big But grips. They're large, but really balance out the gun.
