After a long search I found this S&W 629-4 Mountain Gun in 4" length last year. It has become my backup carry on hunting trips. Made it to the Bighorn Mountains in the Buffalo Wyoming area last year on an elk hunt just in case some toothy critters decided to partake of a meal.

It is not that bad to shoot with my reloads. Of course it's not a range gun to blast away with.

very attractive handful of power!

outside of a dog, a gun is man's best friend.
Inside of a dog, it's too dark to shoot.

I've seen grips like these advertised on a Turkish website, but never bought them. I saw these come up on eBay, and bought them. They don't fit too well, but the feel good in the hand, and the look good to boot. They actually look better in person. These pictures make them look like they are out of proportion to the revolver.
