FLORIDA CONSTITUTION, ARTICLE I, DECLARATION OF RIGHTS, SECTION 8.Right to bear arms.—

(a) The right of the people to keep and bear arms in defense of themselves and of the lawful authority of the state shall not be infringed, except that the manner of bearing arms may be regulated by law.

The outcome was to be expected. That's why we need to back politicians that will work to secure our God given Rights and Freedom, not work to restrict our freedoms.

Our state has been under GOP rule since 1996. 21 years and we still can't get open carry. Every year, Republicans block pro gun bills in the House or Senate. It is a Party wide issue. I have been dealing directly with FL Republican Party Committee Members and elected officials in Tallahassee. Both are strongly against the Second Amendment.

IMHO, what you are dealing with are RINOs. From what I gather, it's the crowd from South Florida that are blocking most of any positive laws being allowed out of committee.
