There is a Place on Hwy 200 on the Marion/Citrus County line on the Citrus County side called Reds and they have an 8 ounce burger platter for $7.95. People Rav about it. Only trouble it is only served from 11am and they close at 2pm and there is along line of people every day on the waiting list. So far I haven't gotten in for lunch but been there for breakfast and it is good.

+1 Less then a mile from my house. They were good but by the time I got them home the grease was staining the bag. [smilie=cheers1.gif]

Le Tub in hollywood, Fl. Just off federal in between the intercoastal and the ocean. Biggest, best real burger coupled with the WORST service you've ever had, toilet decor and picnic table seats right on the intercoastal make it a must try.

Quite fond of LeTub. They seem to value locals.

Another vote for Jack's old fashioned hamburger's in FTL.

Fresh lean meat ground on site twice a day.
minimal but quality toppings, good buns
excellent fries

My son's pretty picky and loves this place. Dinner for 4 with drinks, (not shakes) was $25

Love it.

I would add that unless you have a seat immediately adjacent to the water you will be under trees. In those trees are birds. No netting. One must be always on alert for bird droppings, quite undesirable in one's food. Guy at the next table to me was wearing a rather expensive shirt that was ruined, I am sure, with one plop. His appetite followed suit. The burgers are tasty, yes. Be aware that everything is a la carte.

Try? Yes, once. Return? Ah....maybe, maybe not.

However, just south of Le Tub, also in Hollywood Beach, is Rivals, a sports bar immediately across the street and associated with The Westin Diplomat hotel. They use kobe beef from Snake River Farms http://www.snakeriverfarms.com/SnakeRiverFarms/ hamburger for their burgers. Don't let them ruin the flavor of the meat by adding any toppings or seasoning. I order mine plain and medium. Sprinkle a little salt. YUM.

WOW Le Tub,
Man it's been at least 23 years since I've been there, and Ernies rooftop in Lauderdale at least as long as well.

Best burger here in the Bradenton/Sarasota area has got to be 5 guys.
That place rocks.

Jon

I think the Brass Ring's burger in North Palm was better than Le Tub's.
Le Tub was a bigger with less flavor. Oprah must have missed this place.
