Best frozen Pizza you ever had...

Post by lakelandman » Mon May 12, 2014 7:00 pm

I like DiGiorno Rising Crust the Cheese Goes all the way to the end of the slice. It tastes of actual milk and is viscerally stringy. The Sauce It jumps right off the pizza. It's like a puppy that's happy to see you and you bend down to pet it and suddenly there's slobber all over your face. The Pepperoni Aromatic, long-tailed flavors of MSG-loaded pork as well as clear notes of beef and chicken. Only drawbacks are the lack of black pepper and the crispiness that never actualized.

In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.

+1 on Home Run Inn frozen pizza. **Almost** as good as the real thing.

But growing up in that swine town of Chicago kind of makes me a little prejudice.

Does anyone remember Tree Tavern frozen pizzas?
Crust (thin), sauce and cheese...no toppings offered.
I recall them from the early '60's. The crust tasted like cardboard! There weren't many choices as far as frozen pizza when I was growing up.
I'm not a big fan of frozen pizza but I guess DiGiorno isn't all that bad for a quick meal.

As for a real, not frozen, in house pizza, Belleview Pizza in Belleview does a good job on theirs.
Pizza in FL is nothing like what we used to get in NJ.

The three pies I froze on my last trip to PA and brought home with me.
FL pizza is a disgrace as are the fake frozen pies.

I remember a couple years ago I was building a mansion for a rich couple from Philly and every time they came down here brought me pizza and cheesesteak sandwiches from Philly. I would reheat it and it was 100 times better than anything I've had down here =:e =:e

Yep, that and a homemade sauce recipe from scratch thats been perfected instead of some pasta sauce rendition that comes out of a can thats so common down here.
Also, most pizza spots I know of up there add a bit of lard to the dough.
