I was at trail glades range about two weeks ago with my AR. One of the associates works there, he gave me about 20 rounds to test. I gotta tell ya it was pretty good. It did 1" at 100 yards with no FTF. He said it was remanufactured ammo and not reloaded, whatever that means.

Just got a call from Gun-Tech saying, "Yeah, your name was on our list, you were looking for a Sig rifle." Me: "Yeah, that was six months ago. I already bought one." The thing is, I would have bought the rifle they had that day back in March, but they were to busy to sell it to me or even call me back later that afternoon. Good people, great prices, it's just impossible to get in there without wasting your whole lunch hour waiting in line...and don't expect them to pick up the phone.

They're now located in Florida City at a Fishing store called Pirate's Cove. It's a really good Bait & Tackle Shop along with the gun store. It's kinda like a minature Bass Pro Shops except they're Class III.

My similar story with GT- Was looking for a P226 with the DAK trigger so I stopped by. A sign on the door said closed for the day(Thursday) and would be back tomorrow. I returned on the following Tuesday to see the same sign from the previous week. I left a message on the voicemail and got a call a week later with the explanation of some ball game was the reason for closing on Thursday and really didn't get any idea why they still were not open. I asked about the Sig and I got a snotty "Why do you want the DAK?" I hung up and picked it up at Pembroke range.

Speaking of which-

Always had excellent, and I mean out of the ordinary excellent, service with Dara at Pembroke. But FYI she is no longer with the company :(

I second Gentle Ben's recommendation on Florida Gun Center in Hialeah. They have been there for about 20 years and I never knew they were there until recently. I also met Robert and he was very personable and friendly.

I won't even share my favorite spot... because it is a small place and it is a traffic jam every time I go. Same on the phone. The reason for the traffic jam is... the best prices on the planet. If I share it will only get worse. Last year I paid $430 OUT THE DOOR for a NIB XD9. [-(

When looking for new guns, I discovered that Chiquita Guns was closed. I then decided to check out Guns on 41and discovered that Travis, who had taken over Chiquita Guns from Dave, was the owner. Travis is a good guy to deal with.

this place is cool.... went there for some 380, and ended up staying for a few hours just shootin the s';t and what not.... cool people cool guys, and prices are competitive to those of online retailers, which is impressive....

I just saw the sign go up for a Shoot Straight store and range in West Palm Beach.
Southern Blvd, just east of the Turnpike on the north side of the road.

I drive by it twice a day, so I'll try to remember to keep ya'll posted as to it's construction progress!

Just wanted to put out another shout-out to Interstate Armory (corner of 27th Avenue and US1 in Miami, near Coconut Grove). Amazing service, great prices - honestly, the nicest guys (and gals!) I've ever had the pleasure of meeting in a gun store.

Rock bottom prices too - Glocks are $489 or $499, everything else is very reasonably priced. The owner tells me that he advises many customers to go check out Florida Armory, Miami Police Supply, etc and they always come back shaking their heads.

Great place to visit, they are working on adding more inventory but always have a nice assortment of firearms to look at.

Interstate Armory moved 2 doors down from their corner location. The new location might be a tad smaller, hoping to stop by one of these days

Re: Interstate Armory

The owner showed me the place before they moved in - it isn't on the corner anymore, just around it .I think the layout is physically smaller, but they have more space now for guns/accesories because they no longer have 25+ yards of window space to deal with.
