$14.98? Crap, I was bitching about the $12 fee. The libtards, EPA & mayors, included have tried closing the range for a long time. Maybe this is just the next step. They chip away a tiny bit at a time, they are very patient.

Wow. That extra $2.98 is going to break all of us. That's the equivalent of 6 rounds of .45, 9 rounds of .223 or 12 rounds of 9mm!!! How can we afford that?

I've shot there for many years. Not too long ago, it went up to $5. Then it went up to $7, then $9, and again to $12. Now it's $14.98.
So in some years, it has gone up $9.98. So yes, wise guy, the $9.98 increase is pretty significant, considering too, it's basically the same s';t-hole it was when I paid around $3 way back when.
Also, there was a time you could not shoot high-powered rifles there, like a 30.06, except at the start of deer season. You were allowed 10 rounds to sight-in.
They also didn't allow 9mm because they were considered high-velocity rounds.

Can you quantify "not too long ago"?

Not too long ago, I could buy gas for $0.89 per gallon..

A statement like that, without a timeline for comparison, is worthless.

Let's compare the price hikes to cost of living over the same time to determine if there is correlation, if so, then can you really bitch about the increase?

I heard from one of the RO's at Markham that they will be raising their prices to $15 soon.

Maybe it's time for the free market to step in and for someone to come up with a better alternative in the area. God knows, there's plenty of vacant property down Tamiami Trail.

I'm with Harry on this one. Trail Glades is minimal at best but continues to raise prices on a publicly owned venue. If they provided more for the extra money I could see that but over the years they have actually scaled back. Remember the sporting clays walk they used to have? Gone.I also agree with Joe that this will lead to people popping off rounds into the air or in their backyards.

I believe the sporting clays thing was a project of a private company that was able to make a deal to rent out the space, and they went under for some reason.
