Palm Beach Gunshow - Private Sales

Post by tlturbo » Sun Dec 03, 2017 3:26 pm

What are the requirements at the Palm Beach Gunshow at the Fairgrounds on private individuals buying and selling firearms?

I know there is some rule that any sale taking place on County property reuires a background check.

If I take a couple of long guns to the show to sell, can I sell them to anyone of legal age? Do I have to get someone to run a background check? Am I required to collect sales tax?

It's been LONG time since I frequented gunshows. Lots of things have changed.

Many thanks

While there is a sign at the door stating that the buyer must have a concealed permit, that sign is just for show. People walking the aisles buy & sell guns openly. The cops don't care, Bill the promoter doesn't care, so I wouldn't worry about it. And for those few [never met any] who do want to abide by the rule, you can complete your deal in the WALMART parking lot down the street. GARY.
