JUNE 10 | UTAH NON-RESIDENT & GLOCK TUNING WORKSHOPS

Post by bluemonday » Sun May 20, 2018 9:35 am

SUNDAY JUNE 10

Hosted by EDC Pistol Training LLC

Back to back 4 hour classroom sessions at Homestead Training Center. Pick one or both.

09:00 to 13:00 is our Utah Non-Resident CHP course | $75 | Optional on-site fingerprinting for $20 cash | [Utah application is $67 and lasts 5 years]

Utah and Florida are the two most coveted permits, as jointly possessing both of them empowers you to carry in 39 of the 50 states.

Moreover, Utah's more robust background check system makes it "Federal Reciprocity Ready" if and when Congress passes universal reciprocity (Florida's does not qualify).

We rarely host this unique and special event since Utah restricts training to only its specially certified instructors who are few and far between in Florida.

13:00 to 17:00 is our Glock Tuning Workshop | $100 | Includes Glock Armorers tool and plate | Bring your own Glock and Eye Protection

Topics include:

Introduction to Generations

Field Strip and Proper Lubrication

Complete Disassembly

Complete Reassembly

Function Check

Tuning the Glock Trigger

The Polishing Problem

Additional Performance Enhancements

Some nuances to Gen5

Interesting. Does the Utah course involve actual fire? If so what guns, ammo are required?

No shooting. No test. It's pure classroom lecture. Takes about 3 hours, then last 30 to 60 minutes is to explain the application submission and deliver the optional fingerprinting.

Great. One other question--when it comes time for Utah renewal, is another class required? I know Nevada does that.

No. All you need to do to renew is upload a current passport photo, an image of your FL CWL, and pay $15.75.

Why is the Utah one considered more Federally viable if it doesn't make you show proficiency, whereas the Florida one does? It's entirely based on background checks?

Yes, the difference is based on entirely on background checks, both the frequency and breadth.
