The (formally?) Great Melbourne Gun Show Nov 19/20

Post by Wulfmann » Sun Nov 13, 2016 11:25 am

Well, well well, Hillary lost and now the question is without the threat of gun confiscation will the masses have any reason to be at the next gun show?

I bought all this stuff just to cash in (err, I mean provide my fellow citizens with relief) on the Hillary sure thing and now I am stuck with, I mean I have a great supply of all those things I still am glad to have stacked in my closet

The above is likely the truth as to most gun show vendors feelings the weekend after the election results and the week before the next Melbourne show and I admit they are also mine to a "T"

The fact no one has beaten a path to my door on my BST offers:

Says it all, IMO

I do hope those of you that stocked up in hopes of profit did so without putting yourself at financial risk.
The old saying; "Never invest money you can't afford to lose" comes to mind.

At least with ammo and reloading supplies we can use them and have an excuse to go even more often to the range _:

I think my biggest question is will doing gun shows become obsolete? This year should say [smilie=popcorn.gif]

Is that "formally" or "formerly"?

adverb: formally

1. in accordance with the rules of convention or etiquette.

2. officially.

adverb: formerly

in the past; in earlier times.

I set up today and sold a bunch of stuff to other dealers so have already done the average show take in.

However, since I am selling most everything at cost or near cost rounded up I am not really making anything

Just funny how I offer Federal AE 45ACP at $15.00 a box and get no takers on FSN and sold all I had (2 cases, 40 boxes) as soon as I mentioned the price (dealers claim 17 + ship is their best price and that is a dealer only price)

That PSA complete AR Keymod magpul AR was also gone in 15 minutes as well as other stuff

I'm not surprised. My fingers kept itching to hit the keyboard since I first saw your WTS ad. =:e

So far one of the best shows I have had 3 years [smilie=pdt_xtremez_30.gif]

Not well attended but a higher percentage of buyers at least for me [smilie=popcorn.gif]

I sold all the Fedral AE 45 but I still have CCI Blazer brass 45.

I did raise the price slightly but will let you get up to 10 boxes at $15 each tomorrow if you want.

Originally you had said you would come by the week before the show or that was what I thought you inferred so when I did not hear anything I assumed you changed your mind =:bye

I understand completely.... I wanted to come before the show, but got suckered into some overtime instead.
