I think it was 2000 or 2001 when it was on the ezboard. I started gooling for gun classifieds after the Orlando sentinel started giving people problems posting firearms in the classifieds. I cancelled the Slantinel and joined the site.

I then found there was a lot more to it, other than the buy, seel, trade forum.

Best site on the net for firearms. I've leared a lot!

When Packing.org disappeared, I found GeorgiaPacking.org, which also had a message board... when I moved across the St. Marys River I googled for something similar and found FSN.

Moe was a moderator on the old battlerifles.com site and he had a link here. I followed it and the rest is wasted time and history.

I started out on several of the real big boards, AR15, THR, TFL, Glocktalk....then I started googling for something more locale specific and ended up here. Since I found this site I hardly ever go to the others. I like the smaller community feel here.
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms .. disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes .. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." -T. I was out at Pop's one day, Nick was there and told me -- didn't ask me, told me -- I had to join FSN.com.

"course I did ... and at Nick's memorial service of all places, I got asked to become a mod. Then again, knowing how Nick felt about FSN, he was prolly smiling down, figuring that was the perfect moment to draft someone into becoming part of something he felt so close to.

I googled 'Florida Gun Forum' and ended up somewhere else [smilie=pdt_xtremez_30.gif]... After a few weeks I found out that there was an active board related to Florida and Guns by following a link from an ad on there version of BST to an ad this site's BST...

If it wasn't for that seller trying to sell a firearm on that site for $100 more than he bought it for on here not long before...
