Same thing at my local wally today. Passed by and all rifles and shotguns were of the shelf. Paper said that do to recent changes. But that they would be back out in a date that they stated but i dont rememeber. It was this month though.

Maybe they have to retrain employees on the new rules

I've seen that before.

They did it in Brevard, and it was to take out the merry go rounds and put in new display racks.
Late mergers should be shot in the face, then set on fire and hung from an overpass. /:f

yeah FDLE implemented the 21 years age and 3 day rule overnight, so I don't know what happened to the May 1st thing , the background check website now has drop down boxes to reflect if you are exempt which included CWP (which you wouldn't have under 21 ), trade in, LE corrections , or US service member, or hunters safety course and a FL hunting license, however I never saw that in the bill , so, everyone should expect the 3 day wait almost immediately at all gun stores...what a cluster fvck
In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.

So this new 21 yr old law, does it supersede the law stating that an 18yr old can purchase from a private individual?

I’m not a lawyer but my interpretation of the language in the law is that as a private seller you can legally sell a firearm to someone under 21 but it is a 3rd degree felony for that under 21 year to buy it. In other words the seller is fine but the buyer commits a crime.

Reason being law says it’s illegal for them to buy, law says it’s illegal for a dealer to sell or facilitate a sale, but does not make any mention of average joe citizen selling but that wouldn’t effect the first part that it’s illegal for them to buy.
