Don't be an idiot. Trump's sons are pro NRA, they're hunters, use suppressors, and so on... and DJT has had conceal carry for decades.
And in, of all places, New York City! Even worse than the PRNJ!

Isn't it great that elites get all kinds of goodies because they can buy politicians. NYC and NJ only allow the "RIGHT" people to have guns and carry them. [smilie=014.gif] [smilie=042.gif]

Well one of two things is about to happen either we're about to get f*****or the Democrats are about to get trolled... I'm going to reserve judgement until I see how it plays out not for nothing Donald Trump is kind of known for playing with Democrats emotions...
I have been seeing others talk about this same thing. Lets hope that it is the later lol.

According to Chris Cox, he reversed his position.

That's the basic corruption behind ''showing good cause'' to get a carry permit. The air heads think that sounds like a good idea. As with many liberal ideas, they look good on paper to the insouciant. The reality is different: Have the right connections or a connected lawyer, make the right donations and you get a permit.

Told ya so. Trump just talks first, then thinks about the politics, laws and facts later. The news media wastes about 95% of its time on the ceaseless, meaningless chatter and twitter.

It plays right into the hands of those who want to be able to point and scream, and have a team to destroy a person based only on their say so. Perfect fodder for people who want to get revenge, or women who want to exercise leverage (especially in a divorce). Conviction by accusation.

Precisley. That's why there must be a court hearing of some sort where both parties get to argue and a defense mounted, prior to any seizure/confiscation order.

Talk is cheap. Actions are not. I could care less what he says. I'm far are concerned with what he does. And to this point he's done nothing for gun control. So relax.

Given he supports and congratulated FL for stripping constitutional rights from adults under 21 and anyone without due process, he can go f/;k himself

The attitude behind the very idea of negating or subordinating due process is troublesome to me. Without it, we basically do not have a nation any different from those we criticized, propagandized against, and fought. The abomination that just passed in Florida is an extension of the attitude of power mad politicians. To take property on just a say so by someone who very well may have an interest or agenda, and not be able to challenge the taking is beyond the pale. At the very least it s disingenuous, somehow not recognizing that wives in divorces, and other assorted troublemakers can point and have thugs take property. It's all been done before. What happened to due process in the 4th Amendment? Oh, I see: For the greater good; only temporary, see? Income tax withholding has been temporary since 1943.

Red, you’re correct.

The problem is deciding what "repugnant to the Constitution" means. Right now the final arbiter of that is the Supreme Court and if you don't like it you can try for an amendment or new Constitutional Convention.
