Someone recorded the shooter, killing people in their class room on Snapchat. Very disgusting s—-, I wish I didn’t see that video. I hope he missed when he was shooting because it looked really bad. [smilie=014.gif] hope everyone made it out okay.

I’d rather not share that out of respect of the victims as that could have been someone’s kid here on the board but I’m sure it can be found online.

The only thing you can find on Snapchat as a bunch of kids sitting on the floor and some idiot screaming while gunshots are going off.

In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.

That’s the video I saw but it wayyy worse quality, looked different but rounds are going into that class room, notice the laptop has several holes through it and smoke fills the room. I’m not sure if he was trying to break into that room or not

I agree, don't pass it around. That's someone's dead children in that video...someone who may not even know yet.

So several news sources are reporting that this person "was not allowed on campus with a backpack" after having made threats against students. This begs two important questions, 1) Why was he allowed on campus at all then? and 2) Why was he not already in jail or at least on probation for the previously committed crime of assault? The latter would have required him to surrender or otherwise dispose of any firearms he had and would have made him a prohibited person for future firearm possession which might have prevented this all together.

I agree, bid this doesn't throw up red flags, think we might need to reevaluate who is in charge of security there.

So my son who goes to a different high school nearby says that the shooter’s social medial posts a lot about guns and weapons and that students had joked he would one day shoot up the school.

To state the obvious, If schools were NOT gun free zones, this would NOT have happened. Anywhere in the US!
Enough is Enough! END GUN FREE ZONES!!!
Americans have the will to resist because you have weapons. If you don't have a gun, freedom of speech has no power.

This kid was/is messed up. I'm betting he's from a single parent household and mom couldn't control him. That school had red flags coming out of their ears and you know what? They expelled him. Out of sight, out of mind and it came back and bit them in the ass.
One look at his social media and you knew he was a ticking time bomb.
Now, I'm the last one to advocate Big Brother, but people in his circle, knew he was screwed in the head.
Where are we going and why am I in this hand basket?

I dunno. I think its partially parenting these days, although maybe not the parents fault.

When I was a kid, and I fucked up...I knew it. Nothing like getting your ass kicked to really make things sink in. These days kid's who get spanked are "victims". I see kids running rampant in places when I'm out with mine and think to myself...for christ's sake I'd be getting dragged out of there by my ear and seeing a belt when I got home if I behaved like that when I was a kid. [-X

I bet if that kid had a few more ass kickings growing up "maybe" he would have a much clearer moral compass.
