Machine gun and cannon shoots in the area...

Post by indy1919a4 » Mon Feb 12, 2018 12:14 am

I know that the Hernando Sportsman has a machine gun shoot 2 times a year in Florida and they use to have a cannon shoot,

Does anyone else know of any others in the area???

Feb 25th is the next one at HSC.

I try and run 2 semi informal MG shoots in May and Oct ...May is looking like our next one at HSC or Leesburg ....the problem is getting open range dates .

They don't like to close the range unless there is quite a bit of participation ....this crowd is so wishy washy I stopped doing FSN shoots and just post up an invite for anyone who wants to come.
In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.

I attended every FSN shoot at Area 51. They were great fun.
I also went to a couple of ARF shoots there.

The same crowd that says there are never any shoots then one of us breaks out back to put one on and all we get are excuses why people didn't or can't show up....I'm starting to think There are only like 10 guys on FSN who actually shoot their guns ....lol

I go to the range 3 to 4 times a month

Tickets were $125. Includes all ammo, no per mag fees, Carrabbas catered lunch, liquids, and entry for an Andro AR15. Approx 22,000 rounds fired during the shoot.

I have several videos on YouTube

Rent always does a good machinegun shoot, I don’t why more members from here don’t go. It way cheaper than all the other events and you get more time to fire the MGs

Many thanks for the Videos pictures always are better then no pictures... what are the restrictions.. Can you bring your own weapons??? Other then legal weapons any restrictions??? I guess I would ask is this run more like Knob Creek.. the shooters are keep distant from the madding crowd Or more like the Big Sandy.. a little more open to the shooters??

Depends on the event, last one with Rent in December, it’s an open range, you bring your own to guns to shoot, pay a regular range fee, and when ever a FA gun is sitting on his table and available, ask rent if you can shoot it, you just have to feed it.

It very relaxed, and My favorite days at the range. Other events are more strict and make you wait in very long lines.

I will say that the FSN, Arfcom, Militaryfirearms members I have met at these events have been some of the nicest people I have met =D> I don’t say that lightly
