So...are they leaving our binary triggers alone? Their application hints at triggers (e.g. "rate-increasing devices"), but bump stocks seem to be their focus. :-k

Seems to me they'd have to stretch to get around the multiple shots per one trigger pull principle. A bump stock obviously still is one shot per pull. I have no dog in this fight as I don't have full auto weapons - last time I had one of those was on an aircraft, and it didn't work all that well. But I am concerned about the incrementalism.

More goofy "there outta be a law" high school mentality.

Over time, however, as firearms technologies have
advanced, manufacturers and the public have attempted to develop firearms, triggers, and
other devices that permit shooters to use semiautomatic rifles to replicate automatic fire
without converting these rifles into “machineguns” within the meaning of the statute
They are calling people weasels for developing a work around... I wonder if they ever consider that they are currently enforcing a scheme that created a tax to own firearms, then banned themselves from accepting the tax, then slapping a 10 year penalty on those who fail to pay the tax?

Except the pull is by the stock, not the trigger finger which is motionless after the 1st pull. Probably that's what they'll use to ban them but it sure wont work on any other semi-auto, even a binary which requires 2 finger motions.

As per usual too many commenters are catastrophizing. PS. They don't care about collecting any taxes, just in enforcing their stupid regulations and using failure to pay a tax as a constitutionally approved bludgeon for offenders.
