Anyone live next to one of these abominations? I have three homes in three distinctly different neighborhoods and EACH neighborhood has one owner who thinks their sh|t looks fab... [smilie=014.gif] [smilie=042.gif]

And before y'all jump on me, I agree with the right to do what one wants with their own property. I myself have one (tasteful) lawn decoration...

Yeah, I got one of those a couple blocks north of me. All cute little bunnies, other small creatures and lawn gnomes.

I hope to one day score a working cane grinder from some old homestead. That will be my yard art.

One of the properties is in a (very strict) HOA and they still allow it. Dude's yard looks like a statue lot (including manatee mailbox).

There's a place for everything. "Out in the country"? No prob. Go nuts. I'd have signs with bullet holes, skulls, and a perfectly rusted F-100...whatever. But in a suburban neighborhood where every house/lawn is nice & neat, why is there always ONE homeowner goober that has to over-do it?

I can imagine the conversation:

Hubby: "Honey, I'm going to WalMart...do you want me to see if there are any new garden gnomes?"
Wifey: "Yes, dear. See if they have the one who's giving the "moon". They were out-of-stock last week..." =:wvr

Be glad you're not in Spain. And the lawn display is not a Christmastime "Advent" Tableau. You're familiar with the term, "Caganer..." [smilie=011.gif] [smilie=011.gif]

Well..to be honest...the right hand is from "whacking it". The left hand is from trying to start a chainsaw that hasn't run in 10 yrs. [smilie=033.gif]

Yeah...that's what happens when a computer nerd with soft, supple hands tries to swing a hammer.
