Joined the club...shot my chrono

Post by Nomadic » Sat Jul 11, 2015 11:58 am

Since I started thinking about getting a chrono I have read that it is not a matter of "if" you shoot your chrono, but "when". Well yesterday was the "when". I got a little careless on a follow up shot from my AR and noticed the chrono wiggling after the shot, and Err 3 on the screen. Sure enough, I put a bullet into the top lip on the front and it scooted a long the top for a short distance. Luckily, the damage is just cosmetic and I did not hit any of the internals so the chrono still works. But I have a nice reminder to be careful and not get in a hurry.

In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.

Ya, they are pretty tough. Mine has been shot twice, but only once by me. A little epoxy to replace the vanished plastic, and away you go!

I have to say I never shot mine. But a friend did it for me. He borrowed it and shot the a glancing blow to one sky shield and metal strut. No real damage, just made it offical.

There's only two types of chronos. One that's been shot and one that hasn't been shot yet.

This one will never get shot again, because I put a warning sticker on it!

No man, you're getting it all wrong. You have to make it illegal to shoot at, then it will never get shot anymore. At least that's what the President says.
If you're going to knock a man down, do it so he can't get up.

Sorry that happened to you. But yeah, it's REALLY common. I've shot mine before too. Like yours, it was also just cosmetic damage.
