March Awesome Airgun Match

Post by kmagnuss » Tue Feb 22, 2011 9:22 pm

Code named MAAM. Same exact rules as last time:

Most of us won't even need to go to the range for this one. An air gun match.

Any guns, optics, lasers,bb's, pellets, whatever you want goes.
20 yards.
Whatever position you want.

Here's the target: A piece of notebook paper with a traced CD on it. That's it. Trace the outside of the cd, and then trace the inside hole also.

In the big ring counts as 5 points, in the little ring counts as 10 points.
10 shots. 100 points maximum.

Be honest. Be fair.

Write on your target what gun/ammo/position/optics or whatever you're using.

Then scan it or take a picture or whatever and post it on here.

Winner gets a prize.

Must post pics by 4/1/11 @ 12:00 am.

Good luck.

-Mags

One last note...please don't sit outside all day shooting at 186 targets trying to get a perfect one. That's just weird. The prize isn't worth it.
Tarpon... everything else is just bait.

OK, here are my two entires.

First, Beeman Sprotsman RS2 .177 rifle with 4x32 scope

Second, Crosman American Classic .177 pistol with Daisy Red Dot

Score for each was 55 points.

Just goes to show that I sucked equally with both guns and need way more trigger time with each, so I'm glad that I played.

Can I use a .22 if I don't have an airgun? Or cut the distance in half and use airsoft?

well, I just remembered that I do have a single shot air pistol, but it hasn't been shot in a really long time. If it's still working, maybe I'll give that a try first.

In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.
