How about an air gun match?

Post by kmagnuss » Sat Oct 24, 2009 9:06 pm

Most of us won't even need to go to the range for this one. An air gun match.

Any guns, optics, lasers,bb's, pellets, whatever you want goes.
20 yards.
Whatever position you want.

Here's the target: A piece of notebook paper with a traced CD on it. That's it. Trace the outside of the cd, and then trace the inside hole also.

In the big ring counts as 5 points, in the little ring counts as 10 points.
10 shots. 100 points maximum.

Be honest. Be fair.

Write on your target what gun/ammo/position/optics or whatever you're using.

Then scan it or take a picture or whatever and post it on here.

Winner gets a prize.

Must post pics by 12/1/09 @ 12:00 am.

Good luck.

-Mags

One last note...please don't sit outside all day shooting at 186 targets trying to get a perfect one. That's just weird. The prize isn't worth it.
Tarpon... everything else is just bait.

Here's mine.

55 points. One is just BARELY touching the inside line.

Did it sitting, 4x tasco scope, .177 cal Beeman Silver Bear muzzle break rifle, crossman pointed lead pellets.

15 points assuming you are counting the one touching the line.

Daisy Red Ryder carbine-action, two hundred shot Range Model air rifle... shot standing.

Dang thing shot waaaaaaayyy right. Had to hold on the left edge of the paper. BBs had a fair amount of surface rust too. Obviously, I need to shoot it more often ,g.

Indeed! More than 125 and you need to seek help!

Nice to see the postal matches back in action... even if I can't enter! [smilie=011.gif]
There is an undeniable cultural difference. It's the difference in the mindset of those who believe they are owed a living, and those who believe success is the result of hard work.

Aha. Now you're talkin'.
I've been doing them all, right at home, with my trusty Gamo.
It's my most accurate long gun.
Tomorrow, fur sure.
Thanks.

Looks like I'm going to have to break out the Sheridan Blue Streak.

I guess thats the booby prize [smilie=011.gif]
In the days of the old west a 6 shooter was as common as cell phones are today and just annoying if they go off in a theater.
