Am I the only one that does not care if the gooberment stays shutdown forever?

Post by Flame Red »

I am sick of all the Libiturd Fake News and Rino politicans that go on and on about we must re-open the Gobberment.

Who else here does not give a $hit if the gooberment stay closed forever?

So many relatives and friends are Gooberment retirees. Most hate Donald. But they go on and on about their 80% or 100% pensions and that they were happy Donald let their pension increases go into effect this year but those still "working" complaining that the Donald stopped active Federal employee pay raises this year.

I sorry, I am crass, but they are still withholding all the federal taxes from my paycheck - that did not stop! I guess I consider all the gooberment bureaucrats with their generous pensions that nobody else gets anymore while the gooberment holds a gun to my head to feed them.

Am I the only one, not currently a federal drone, unsympathetic?

(I'm excluding Veterans, in this rant, who more than paid their dues.)

You can turn off most of the government rape machine forever. And repeal 90% of the United States Code while we are at it.

It will give America a GOOD opportunity to see just how little of that bureaucratic BS we actually need!

MSM is starting to work the fear narrative.... actually using the word "doomsday"!

Food stamps stop, etc.

Right on schedule.

Less government is better government.
If you want to really piss off your government employee relatives, remind them they don't pay a dime of taxes on their salaries.
They are net tax consumers, not tax payers.

I worked for NASA (contractor, not Civil Service) for almost 40 years.
I went thru many of these "shut downs" during those years.
I never lost a dime in pay during any of those shut downs, as we were always given full pay for the days the Space center was closed.
Thus, it was really nothing more than a unscheduled Paid Vacation for me.

I can not say for certain that all Federal employees will get the back pay, but I would bet they all will.

I feel sorry for people who literally live paycheck to paycheck.
But, they only have themselves to blame, for not having at least three months worth of money in savings for emergencies.
Yes, I had little in the way of savings when I was first married, but I always had a rainy day fund for emergencies.

Paycheck2paycheck
Go hit AMSCOT for a payday advance.
Most of our (regular citizens) interaction with government employees is a negative experience. The lady at St Pete SS was nice.
Pretty much all the tourist attractions could be run by privately held companies. National parks and such.
That would be my only voluntary interaction with a federal government employee.

This is the best way to minimize waste and maximize resources.
Damn, so nice to hear others expressing some common-sense economics! Image
