(2) Fundamentals of Firearms Shooting & Safety Course (6 hours), and
(3) Basics of Firearms Safety & Self-Defense for Women Course (6 hours)

INSTRUCTOR: Col (Dr) BEN Findley, USAFR (Ret)- NRA Certified Pistol Instructor, NRA Range Safety Officer, FL Concealed Carry Weapons Instructor, USA Concealed Carry Registered Instructor, U.S. Air Force "Expert" Pistol Qualified, IDPA ESP "Marksman" Qualified, 30 Years Air Force, Special Ops, & firearms experiences, Doctorate Degree in Teaching & Business. Ordained Minister; Federal Prison consultant; author 5 books & over 300 articles; retired University Dean and Management Professor.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Fundamentals & Basics Courses teach the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning, operating, & shooting a pistol safely. SAFETY is a major goal for all. These courses meet the Training Requirements for FL Concealed Carry License application. Students do NOT have to possess or own a gun for the courses and ALL AMMO and GUNS are provided. This course is designed for new & inexperienced shooters or those wishing a Refresher of fundamentals and/or to improve their shooting Accuracy. Private, ONE-ON-ONE guidance & instruction will be provided at the Range, in a relaxed NON-INTIMIDATING, but professional setting. The NRA Basic Pistol course (8 hours) is standardized to meet NRA requirements.
** Maximum Number of Students per each class is 4 for personal one-on-one attention.**

The Fundamentals & Basics courses are 6-hours long and include classroom and Range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn rules for safe gun handling; pistol & revolver parts and how to operate the firearms; 8 shooting fundamentals; Range rules; solving gun malfunctions & stoppages; shooting from the bench rest position & 4 two-handed standing positions; storage & cleaning the pistol; ammunition basics; 9 criteria for selecting your personal firearm; FL deadly force & legal considerations; when & when not to shoot; and continued opportunities for skill development. Techniques for improving accuracy are given. Students will receive class Handouts, Col Ben's book, FL CCW License application & procedures, and a course Completion Certificate. After course completion, you will receive emails of Col Ben's shooting articles.

CLASS TIMES: 6+ hours in length (4 hours in Classroom and 2 hours Range Live Fire)
Classes begin at 9:00 am, please arrive by 8:50 am to fill out necessary paperwork and to receive your firearms package & materials. Class will run until approximately 4:00 pm or so, although depending on class size and ability of students class could last until 5:00 pm or so. Lunch is on your own.

PRICE: $100. (Fundamentals & Basics Courses) or $125. (NRA Basic Pistol) + Range Fee $10. each; $20. Deposit required 7 days before class start date.

ALL GUNS & AMMO Provided (.22LR, .380, .38, & 9mm); targets & stands provided; light snack & bottled water provided and vending machine available; separate Junior classes available for those under 18 (must be accompanied by a parent or guardian);

STUDENT EQUIPMENT LIST: Students should bring a pen or pencil, a baseball-type cap for protection from deflected cartridges, & approved EYE & EAR PROTECTION. All other materials & use of equipment, including FIREARMS, AMMUNITION, TARGETS & STANDS ARE INCLUDED in the price & will be provided. Please be aware that the private Gun Club shooting range is outdoors & partially covered, so we will shoot in rainy or foul weather. Please dress appropriately (no open-toed shoes or sandals nor low-cut shirts-blouses) for the weather & the Range.
