Bruce Dow in Dade City is the closest I know of, but he's worth the trip.

Bruce Dow literally wrote the book on accurizing the M1. Get it to him soon. He gets really backed up when hunting season approaches.

What type of work do you need done?

I'll agree with everyone that Dow is the best around, but are you willing to be without your Garand for (possibly) many months for what could be a simple fix with a fast turnaround?

I know one of the best MOPAR guys in the business.....does world class restorations on Hemi cars....but I'm not going to get on his waiting list just to get a tire changed

Call Bruce at Dow Arms Room and ask him how long the job you are looking for will take. I've had him do work for me and it didn't take that long. Talk to him before you write him off. He and his wife Alice are nice people.
